Peace Now chairman Yariv Oppenheimer joins Labor

Yariv Oppenheimer, chairman of the Peace Now movement, announced Thursday his intention to run for a position in the Labor Party in the upcoming elections. He reportedly wished to guarantee his position as representative of the party's youth. "It is necessary to introduce new blood into the party," he said. Oppenheimer was a supporter of Labor Chairman Amir Peretz in the recent primary elections, according to Israel Radio.
