Pedestrian killed when hit by car near Haifa; police open investigation

A 50-year-old pedestrian was killed when hit by a moving car on Route 2, south of Haifa late Sunday night. Police launched an investigation into the incident and were questioning the driver of the vehicle - a 61-year-old from Kiryat Motzkin who was traveling with two passengers.
