Peres: Talks with Abbas to start in 'near future'

Vice Premier Shimon Peres said on Friday that that Israel would soon conduct talks with Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas. "We anticipate starting negotiations in the very near future," said Peres on his state visit to Kazakhstan. Peres also said that Iran could expect "poverty and isolation" if it continued to develop nuclear weapons.
