President Shimon Peres is slated to become the first Israeli president to speak before the legislature of a Muslim country when he delivers a planned speech on Tuesday.
Peres is also expected to meet with Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to discuss plans to set up an industrial park in the West Bank. The industrial zone is expected to create jobs for thousands of Palestinians. Turkey is waiting for Abbas's government to decide how much land can be allocated for the project.
Abbas, meanwhile, will separately address the Turkish Parliament on Tuesday.
