Labor party chairman Amir Peretz said Tuesday morning that he supported allowing Palestinian residents of east Jerusalem to vote in the upcoming Palestinian Authority parliamentary elections. "If we don't allow them to vote in the PA elections," Peretz said in an interview to Israel Radio, "It means we get hundreds of thousands of Palestinians voting for the Knesset." "Therefore," Peretz continued, "We should do everything to make sure they have the right to vote for the Palestinian parliament. If that means relaxing our position, we'll have to do that."
