Labor Chairman Amir Peretz said that after the Labor primary there must be renewed coalition talks with Kadima.
"We will reexamine the general and socio-economic principles of the government as well as its political program," said Peretz in a speech to Labor party members in Petah Tikva.
Peretz added that the Labor party did not need to correspond with Kadima about the Labor leadership.
The Labor chairman also reiterated his intentions to quit the Defense Ministry and take on the Finance portfolio.
