MK Amir Peretz denied on Friday rumors that he was going to resign from his Labor leadership campaign.
In an interview with Israel Radio, Peretz said he was on a quest to free the party from the Likud's "bear-hug."
He announced that he would oppose the permanent appointment of Ehud Olmert as finance minister in next week's Knesset vote.
