Defense Minister Amir Peretz met Tuesday with the families of IDF soldiers who died in the war in Lebanon last summer, Israel Radio reported.
During the meeting, Peretz promised to pass on the results of the war investigation to the families, but refused to answer the families' questions on who among the country's upper echelons was taking responsibility for the war.
Bereaved father David Einhorn said that the meeting raised private emotional issues, and that the defense minister had addressed them with the appropriate seriousness.
Representatives of the families were also expected to meet with members of the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.
