Labor Chairman Amir Peretz announced on Friday that he would not agree to enter into a rotational government with Likud Chairman Binyamin Netanyahu.
Peretz reasoned his refusal by the enormous rift that he claimed lies between Netanyahu's and his own outlooks of social and economical issues, Israel Radio reported.
The last rotation government was established in the 1980s when Shimon Peres (then-Labor) and Yitzhak Shamir (Likud) alternated in the roles of prime minister in the middle of the government's term.
