An El Al passenger plane and a plane belonging to the Spanish airline Iberia that were preparing to land Thursday evening came dangerously close to one another but managed to land safely, the Israeli Airport Authority reported.
IAA officials said that the Iberia pilot was maneuvering dangerously close to the El Al plane and almost hit it.
Control tower employees noticed the two planes flying at a close distance from each other and alerted the pilots. The planes then realigned and landed safely.
