Police increased their level of alert following Monday's suicide bombing in Netanya. The alert included stationing of blockades throughout Israel, and increased police patrols, especially in crowded places. The Border Police planned on fortifying its forces along the Green Line. Israel Radio reported that the IDF placed a complete closure over the West Bank, although the crossings into and out of the Gaza Strip were expected to function as usual.
