Police arrest 12 allegedly tied to crime organization in Beersheba

Police arrested twelve people allegedly tied to a crime organization in the South, Thursday. The detainees are suspected of serious felonies, including throwing hand grenades, arson, preparing explosive devices and blackmail. Following several months of detective work in the Negev district, evidence tying the suspects to a variety of violent offenses was collected. Negev District Police officers raided the suspects' homes and took them for questioning. One of the detainees in the case is an IDF officer at the rank of captain. He is suspected of making explosive devices and transferring them to the others members of the organization. Police said Adam Ital, indicted for allegedly murdering two youths in a twenty-four-hour store in Beersheba and suspected of three other murders, is considered a member of the organization.
