Police arrest man hiding heroin in his socks

During a routine patrol on Wednesday morning in Etzel Street in Tel Aviv's Hatikvah neighborhood, police patrol officers noticed a person who aroused their suspicion. Upon searching the man, they discovered that he had 11 packets of a substance that police suspect to be heroin hidden in his socks. The suspect, Mordechai Levi, 59, was detained Wednesday for investigation. Levi appeared before the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court the same day, and his remand was extended until Friday. Police were continuing their investigation in to the case.
