Police from the Shfela sub district announced on Sunday that they had arrested a Rishon Lezion resident on suspicion of attacking his wife and six-year-old son. The man was arrested after medics at Tel Aviv's Ichilov Hospital said that they had treated a woman whom they suspected of having been abused. In the ensuing investigation the man denied that the had caused his wife's injuries but said that he had pushed her and threatened her because she interfered with a computer game he was playing. The suspect was due to be brought for a remand extension to the Rishon Lezion Magistrate's Court later on Sunday.
