Police detain 27 illegal Palestinian workers

Amakim District police detained on Sunday morning 27 illegal Palestinian workers in the north. Two of the Palestinians, who were wanted by security forces, were arrested, and the rest were returned to Palestinian Authority territory. Police also arrested two people on suspicion of employing Palestinians not in possession of work permits, two others on suspicion of driving illegal Palestinian workers into Israel, and one on suspicion of hiding Palestinians in his home. The police have opened criminal proceedings against the three, Israel Radio reported.
