Shimon Arjuan, an Ashdod resident, offered his best attempt of a replay of Benny Sela's disappearing act when he fled the Ashdod Magistrate's Court after being released from his leg shackles on Tuesday afternoon. Arjuan, 49, was transferred on Wednesday from Magen Prison to Shikma Prison and was taken the next morning for a hearing in Ashdod regarding assault charges leveled against him. Arjuan was brought to the court by the police escort unit, but, according to police, was released from his leg shackles on a judge's orders. Shortly after the restraints were removed, Arjuan fled the court and was only found hours later by a police patrol in the city's Rehov HaPalmah.
