Police Inspector General Moshe Karadi raised the national alert level to number 5, the second highest. The decision came after Palestinian terror groups threatened to resume terror attacks as a retaliation to the deadly incident in which an IDF shell was apparently misfired, hitting a Gaza residential complex and killing at least 18 civilians.
