Police recommend charges against Tiberias mayor

Police are recommending that charges be brought against Tiberias Mayor Zohar Oved who is suspected of election fraud. A police investigation determined that Oved bribed faction heads and other officials to back his candidacy for mayor. He is also suspected of illegally obtaining campaign funds. The police forwarded the file to the northern district prosecutor's office.
