A Palestinian was shot and wounded Wednesday evening during a police chase after a stolen car in the town of Isawiya near the French Hill in Jerusalem. The Palestinian car thief later died of his wounds in the hospital. Afterwards, a crowd of Arab youths from Isawiya attempted to reach the gates of the University campus on Har Hatzofim, burning a car near Hadassah Har Hatzofim Hospital, Israel Radio reported. According to police the university gates had been closed for precautionary reasons, but added that the situation was under control. The gates were later reopened.
