Attorney-General Menachem Mazuz advised police to investigate claims that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert received bribes as a government minister and as acting prime minister.
The Justice Ministry emphasized that this would not be a criminal investigation but rather an initial check into whether the prime minister received several expensive pens in an illegal manner.
