Pending final authorization from Attorney-General Menahem Mazuz, Finance Minister Avraham Hirschson will be summoned for questioning by police under suspicion he turned a blind eye to financial crimes while he was head of the National Labor Federation in Eretz-Israel (NLF) starting in 1997. As a first step, investigators will summon Hirschson for a testimony, but have not ruled out the possibility of opening a full-scale investigation, with the finance minister as a prime suspect.
