A Kfar Saba policeman admitted on Wednesday that he had accepted bribes from a criminal organization in return for warning them when police planned to move against a casino the group was running, Army Radio reported.
According to the report, police investigators have been following the officer's movements for the past five months and suspect he received between 2,500 and 3,500 dollars.
The officer, who confessed after police confronted him with the allegations, was sent to house arrest for five days.
An indictment is expected in the next few days.
