Poll: Ayalon leading race for Labor party chair

Labor MK Ami Ayalon is leading in the race for Labor party chairman, a Dahaf Institute poll published Friday in Yediot Aharonot revealed Friday. The poll gave Ayalon 35 percent of the vote in the first round, while former prime minister Ehud Barak took 31%. Current party chairman, Defense Minister Amir Peretz, was awarded 20% of the vote, while MKs Ophir Paz-Pines and Danny Yatom took nine and two percent, respectively.
