Parts of Israel suffered brief power outages on Wednesday after a power station in Ashdod apparently suffered problems in generating electricity, Israel Radio reported. The outages were brief and scattered, but left some buildings without power for a brief period of time, the radio said. Police said there were no reports of any electrical outages because of rocket strikes from Hizbullah or from Hamas.
