The High School Principals' Union appealed to the Education Ministry on Monday to cancel the winter Bagrut (matriculation) exams.
In light of the ongoing teachers' strike, students would not be prepared for the exams, the union said.
The Education Ministry expressed hope, however, that an end to the strike in the next few days could allow exams to go ahead as planned.
