The Israel Prisons Authority on Monday declined the request of Yigal Amir, Yitzhak Rabin's assassin, to go on leave for the "brit mila" (circumcision ceremony) of his soon-to-be-born son. The Prisons Authority also denied Amir the possibility of holding the ceremony within the confines of the prison. "Amir's threat to society and society's threat to Amir" were cited as the grounds for the rejection.
