One prisoner guard and one inmate were lightly wounded during a minor prisoner uprising at the Kitziot Prison overnight Sunday. According Israel Prison Services (IPS), guards conducting a routine sweep of the facilities were pelted with objects - primarily onions - after entering an area where a number of prisoners were located. The prisoners also set fire to tents in the area. Guards were able to take control of the situation and put out the fires. Both of the wounded parties were evacuated to Soroka Hospital for further treatment.
