Protest held against land confiscation in Bil'in

A group of Palestinians and Israelis protested on Friday in the West Bank village of Bil'in against the alleged confiscation of Palestinian lands for the sake of building of a new neighborhood in the nearby settlement of Matityahu. According to Israel radio, by their presence the protesters violated an army order declaring the area a restricted military site. Five protesters were arrested. For the past few months there have been demonstrations in Bil'in every Friday afternoon, protesting the nearby construction of the security fence.
