Tair Rada, the 13-year-old Katzrin girl murdered early December, had allegedly received text messages from an individual making threats against her prior to her death, Army Radio reported.
The messages, sent by a person named "Avi," read that if Rada refused to meet him, he would kill her.
Several of Rada's friends said that the girl simply deleted the messages after receiving them.
Officials confirmed the reports, saying they were able to trace the messages through her cellular telephone company.
