MK Ran Cohen said Friday that Israel should initiate talks with deposed Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, as well as with PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas. In an interview with Israel Radio the Meretz MK said that Likud Chairman Binyamin Netanyahu's proposal to deploy a Jordanian force in the West bank was impossible to implement. Cohen claimed that King Abdullah II would probably "refuse the proposal forcefully". "The only solution is to hold diplomatic negotiations with both Mahmoud Abbas and Ismail Haniyeh," he claimed.
