Report: Banks committed 21 acts of fraud in 2005

Israeli banks announced on Wednesday that bank employees committed 21 acts of embezzlement for a total of NIS 7.5 million in 2005. In nine cases customers of the bank were harmed as a result of the misappropriations and 19 of the incidents resulted in dismissals of bank employees. Police were still investigating 18 of the cases.
