Report: Breakthrough reached in Barghouti talks

Israel and Egypt have reached a breakthrough in negotiations over the release of imprisoned Tanzim leader Marwan Barghouti, the Persian Gulf-based El Halij newspaper reported on Wednesday. Reportedly, the progress came as part of the proposed deal to release Palestinian prisoners in exchange for captured IDF soldier Cpl. Gilad Schalit.
