Report: Car accidents dropping per-month

During the month of April, The Central Bureau of Statistics reported Monday, Israel Police recorded 1,157 road accidents (not including the West Bank) in which 2,305 people were injured. Twenty-five of those accidents were fatal, leaving 26 people dead, while people sustained serious injuries in 100 of those accidents. In addition, 31 accidents were recorded in the West Bank (not including Palestinian controlled areas) during the month of April, in which six people were killed and a total of 109 people were injured, nine seriously. According to the CBS report, however, from November 2005 to April 2006 there has been a recognizable drop in the number of accidents by a rate of 1.4% per-month - that despite a 0.3% increase in accidents per-month between May and October of 2005.
