Former Jewish Agency chairman Sallai Meridor, who was appointed as the next ambassador to Washington on Wednesday, will reportedly decide to reject the appointment.
According to Army Radio, following deliberations with an Indian spiritual leader, Meridor was influenced to reject the appointment.
The Foreign Ministry said it was unaware of such a decision by Meridor.
