Report: Some Likud members want Katsav as chairman

According to a Channel 2 report on Saturday night, some members within the Likud Party have an interest in placing President Moshe Katsav at the head of the party in order to run for prime minister. They believe that Katsav, more than any other candidate the Likud has to offer, can lead the Likud to the most mandates. Katsav told Channel 2 that he was not aware of such a proposal.
