US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said on Wednesday that the members of the United Nations Security Council, along with Germany, would wait several weeks before demanding that the UN act against Iran. In an interview with ABC, Rice added that the "punishment" of Iran was being delayed in order to allow Britain, France and Germany the chance to convince Iran to suspend its nuclear program on its own.
