Robbery suspect, policeman wounded in shootout

A policeman shot a robbery suspect during an attempted robbery in a Tel Aviv store early Sunday morning. Police were called to the scene after two suspects attacked the teller of the store. The second suspect escaped upon the arrival of the policeman and was not immediately apprehended. The wounded suspect, a 41-year-old resident of Ramle, was lightly wounded after receiving bullets to his legs and was evacuated to Ichilov Hospital. The policeman, also wounded during the incident, was taken to Wolfson Hospital in Holon.
