Rocket protection for tens of thousands of houses in the neighborhoods around the Gaza Strip "will take many long months, not two months or three," Col. Yechiel Kuperstein, head of the Physical Protection Department at the Home Front Command, said Tuesday. In an interview with Israel Radio Kuperstein went on to say that all schools and most kindergartens were being secured and by next academic year the protection of all education institutions in the Gaza periphery and Sderot would be completed. Kuperstein added that within the next few weeks the Home Front will affix protective rooms to 200 houses.
