Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Monday asked MK Otniel Schneller (Kadima) to help him with issues relating to settlers. Schneller was the former director-general of the Council of Jewish Communities of Judea, Samaria and the Gaza Strip, and has already been working with Olmert on issues relating to Israel's final borders. Schneller told The Jerusalem Post that Olmert made this request at the parties' faction meeting on Monday. Schneller said that while he has not been given a formal task, this request expands the role he has already been playing for Olmert.
