School children and high school students will start studying on Thursday at 10 a.m.
The two hour delay is due to a strike initiated by both leading teacher organizations in Israel who claimed Wednesday they were planning to strike because of worsening of teachers' salaries.
The strike will not take place in kindergartens and special education schools.
In the Golan Heights, studies will begin as usual but end two hours early.
