Security Cabinet expected to approve national emergency authority
By JPOST.COM STAFF
The Security Cabinet is expected to approve Wednesday a decision to establish a national emergency authority.
The decision was made following flaws exposed during the Second Lebanon War.
Israel Radio reported that if the decision is indeed approved, the new authority will coordinate between all emergency services, not only during a war, and that every government office will have an allocated budget to use only in cases of emergency.
