Shin Bet head: Arms smuggling in Gaza has worsened

Head of the Shin Bet Yuval Diskin said Tuesday afternoon that since disengagement there had been a substantial increase in the amount of weapons and explosives being smuggled into the Gaza Strip. Speaking at the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, he said that thousands of rifles weresmuggled every month into Gaza - four times the amount smuggled before disengagement. Diskin added that tens of RPGs and two tons of explosives were also smuggled into the Strip every month, Israel Radio reported.
