Soldier held for having sex with male minors

An Israeli soldier serving in a predominantly haredi combat unit was under arrest Tuesday for allegedly having sexual relations with several 16 year male teens in his room in the Soldier's House soldiers' quarters in Jerusalem, police said. The combat soldier, who was apprehended Monday night by the military police at his army base, confessed to having sex with four of the teens after screening them pornographic movies, but police suspect that he actually had intercourse with an even larger number of male teens, Jerusalem police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said. The suspect, who cannot be named by court order, was remanded in custody for six days Tuesday by the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court.
