Soldier hospitalized for overdosing on sedatives dies in hospital

A soldier who was hospitalized at Asaf Harofe Hospital for several days after having collapsed from taking an overdose of sedatives died on Tuesday evening, Israel Radio reported.
The soldier was serving a prison sentence and attempted to commit suicide in a military prison. The soldier told a friend in prison that he had taken a large dosage of sedatives. After he lost consciousness he was taken to hospital.
Military Police said they would open an investigation into the matter.
