An Israeli border policeman was stabbed in the neck by a Palestinian attacker Friday near a security checkpoint on the outskirts of Jerusalem, police said. The policeman was lightly wounded in the evening attack near the A-Ram checkpoint on the northern rim of the city. The Palestinian assailant was arrested on the scene. Thousands of Palestinians pass through the checkpoint on a daily basis as they travel between the West Bank and Jerusalem.
