The state will participate in the financing of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's legal fees if he is directly affected by the outcome of the Winograd Committee's findings on the Second Lebanon War. A Justice Ministry committee accepted Olmert's request but had yet to decide on the sum that he will receive. Ministry Director-General Moshe Shilo emphasized that Olmert's request was for the funding of legal fees needed for Winograd Committee issues and not for other investigations relating to the prime minister.
