Supreme Court acquits man of attacking 5-year-old

The Supreme Court on Sunday acquitted Ashraf Abu-Hattab of charges that he attacked a five-year-old girl in Haifa four years ago. The court lifted the seven-year prison term to which Abu-Hattab has been sentenced by the Haifa District Court. Justice Edmond Levi leveled harsh criticism at the police in his verdict, saying that the investigation had been "negligent" and even "amateurish."
