Police said Friday that the youth suspected of raping an 11-year-old girl from Arad earlier this week was likely behind another 10 such sexual attacks on minors in the South. The Beersheba Magistrate's Court remanded the suspect for a further week in custody on Friday morning.

  • Suspected serial pedophile rapist arrested in Holon Police said that the suspect initially denied the allegations but eventually confessed to the attack and reenacted it. The Arad girl was raped next to her home on Monday. The suspect allegedly began to talk to the 11-year-old girl before dragging her into the bushes, raping her and stealing her cellular phone. The girl told her mother of the attack upon returning home and the woman alerted the police. Police officers from the Arad, Beersheba and Rahat districts cooperated in order to track down the suspect.
