'Swapping live prisoners for dead reservists will risk Schalit's life'
By JPOST.COM STAFF
Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) chief Yuval Diskin warned during a Security Cabinet discussion that releasing live prisoners in exchange for the dead bodies of captured IDF reservists Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwasser would risk the life of captured soldier Gilad Schalit, held in Gaza, Channel 1 reported Tuesday.
Diskin reportedly said that if such a prisoner swap is carried out, Schalit's captors would feel free to kill him, safe in the knowledge that Israel would still agree to a deal for his dead body.
