The senior and junior academic staff unions at Tel Aviv University announced on Friday that they support the student strike that has been in effect for three weeks, Israel Radio reported. The university staff said they view with severity the efforts of the Committee of University Presidents to break the strike, which is meant to protest the proposed reforms of the Shochat Committee. TAU lecturers also said that they would make up classes with the students and do their utmost to ensure that the students could complete their work.
